The images used in this series are from a discarded collection of vacation slides from 1964. Without notes or supporting documentation I can only speculate the identities of the tourists, their path, and their purpose. The travelers include a priest, two young men, and possibly a woman. The sequence of the slides suggests that the travelers are from the Netherlands and drove their Volkswagen Beetle through Europe including Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Italy, and Spain. Slides also show the same Beetle in the United States, including New York port, Long Island, Columbus, and Indiana.
